Description: 17mm silver drachm issued by the mint of Byzantion (late 4th or early 3rd century BC)

Weight: 5.08g

Die Axis: twelve o'clock

Reference: "Modern Counterfeits and Reproductions of Ancient Coins," Hekte 3 (1997), p. 133 no. 5 (this coin)

Obverse: Diademed head of the deified Alexander with the ram's horns of Zeus Ammon.

Reverse: Athena Nikephoros enthroned to the right. She holds Nike in her right hand and a spear in her left. A shield rests against the back of the throne. In left field: trident mint mark and PA monogram. Inscription: BASILEWS LUSIMACOU.
